advent {day 6}

Like a prologue to the big event, there is St. Nicholas Day.

If you put your wooden shoe out overnight or

 hang a stocking on your bedroom door,

on the morning of December 6th you just might find

 a box of crayons and a marzipan pig tucked inside.

St. Nicholas Day is token and sweetest and love.

It is small gesture with big heart.

It is a seasonal reminder that subtle and sincere

make the most lasting of gifts.
