Mosque Graveyard

Off the beaten stone road, tucked behind the tourist traps, a little garden of art commemorating the wealthy patrons of a neighborhood mosque. Gravestone words written in Arabic script, approximately 200 hundred years old.

  1. Whoa!

    Very cool!

Just more proof that we are, indeed, one big family ~ and we end up the same in the end.

Awesome photos. Wish I could be there to see it in person!

  2. so hauntingly lovely...the flourishes, the antiquity, the romantic language of a beautiful afterlife.

  3. The Arabic script adds so much. I don't need the interpretation...just the images are amazing!

  4. Great shots Graciel. It looks to me as an 10001 night fairytail.
